Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have parted ways after six years of relationship. As per the sources, Taylor and Joe broke up a few weeks back. They separated amicably and decided to remain friends Taylor Swift is on her tour ‘Eras’. She has been in a relationship with Joe since 2016.
Alwyn and the Grammy winner were successful to keep the relationship hidden from the media for a long time. However, Taylor hinted sometimes at their relationship through her music. This January, Swift disclosed through her Instagram post that one of her tracks, ‘Lavender Haze’ from 2022 ‘Midnights was all about Joe. When you are in a Lavender Haze of Love, “you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.”
She further added, “Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumours, tabloid stuff and we just ignore it. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.”
Alwyn also shared the writing credit for ‘Midnights’ with Swift for the song ‘Sweet Nothing’. This was not the first time the two celebs collaborated. They even collaborated for Swift’s 2020 pandemic albums ‘Evermore’ and ‘Folklore’
‘Folklore’ ended up winning the Grammy in the category of Album of the Year in 2021. It was Alwyn’s first Grammy win. Back in 2019, news speculated that the two got engaged in a close ceremony. About that, Joe Alwyn finally spoke up and said, “If I had a pound for every time I think I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I’d have a lot of pound coins.” He further said, “I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say.”
