Timbaland and Justin Timberlake have hinted at a possible collaboration with Nelly Furtado.
Long-time partners, the 42-year-old Sexy Back singer and the 51-year-old prolific producer, have been working on Justin’s upcoming sixth studio album.
Timbaland took to Instagram on Tuesday to offer two new posts involving Nelly, with whom he collaborated in 2006 to create her Grammy-nominated album Loose.
The first post featured a photo of Timbaland and Justin in the studio, on a FaceTime chat with Nelly, with the remark, “Da dream team @justintimberlake @nellyfurtado.”
The second was a sample of Nelly’s vocals in the studio.
“Oooooooo boyyyyyy. Timbaland captioned the second post, “We back!!!!!!!!.”
Both posts suggested that the Say It Right singer, 44, would appear on Justin’s forthcoming album.
Timbaland told Variety in April that “everything sounds great” during the recording sessions for the upcoming album.
“Now it’s really up to (Justin) to figure out how he wants to wrap it up and when he wants it out,” the producer continued. “With an artist of his calibre, everything has to be in place, but it’s done and it’s on the way.”
While no official release date has been revealed, Timbaland has stated that the album will be similar to “FutureSex part two,” referring to Justin’s acclaimed sophomore album FutureSex/LoveSounds from 2006.
Music fans are buzzing as Grammy-winning performers Timbaland and Justin Timberlake tease a possible collaboration with the great Nelly Furtado.
This dynamic three is back in action, hinting at a reunion that has fans excitedly expecting the magic they’ll create this time around. They previously worked together on Nelly’s renowned album “Loose” back in 2006.
Timbaland took to Instagram and offered two intriguing photos. The first video had a frank studio moment with Justin Timberlake, during which they were caught on a FaceTime call with Nelly Furtado. The second post provided a taste of Nelly’s soulful vocals in the studio, confirming that something special is in the works.
