On Saturday, July 8, Harry Styles was hit in the face by an unidentified object while performing in Vienna, Austria.

The 29-year-old British pop sensation is shown in a fan-shot video strutting down the stage at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadion when an unidentified item pelts him close to the eye. The vocalist of “As It Was” cries out in discomfort before bending over, covering his eye, and exiting the stage.

The ex-member of One Direction, whose epic Love on Tour is about to come to an end, had not said anything about the event on social media as of the time of publication.

Styles has been struck by objects during his performances before. The singer had to take a short break from performing last year in Chicago after being poked in the groyne by a fan’s object. Additionally, while he was performing, chicken nuggets and Skittles were thrown at him.

Styles is the most recent casualty of a risky pattern where performers are being hit by errant objects at concerts. Several performers, including Bebe Rexha, Lil Nas X, and Kelsea Ballerini, have recently had their performances cut short by the introduction of various products, such as a phone, sex toy, and bracelet, respectively.

During P!nk’s performance at BST Hyde Park in London on June 25, a fan also smacked Ava Max and another concertgoer tossed their mother’s ashes onto the stage.

Adele even brought up the worrying trend during one of her recent residencies in Las Vegas. “Have you noticed how people are currently forgetting how to behave on stage and throwing s—?” In a video posted on social media, she can be heard asking, “Have you seen that?

On Twitter, you can see Styles get hit in the face during his performance in Vienna.
