At the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, Dua Lipa finally made her red carpet debut alongside boyfriend Romain Gavras.
The 27-year-old “Levitating” singer cuddled up to her 41-year-old French filmmaker lover as they posed for pictures in front of the cameras in their first public outing as a couple.
The three-time Grammy winner chose a stylish black floor-length gown with cutouts and a big slit that has one shoulder.
She accessorised the elegant ensemble simply with a pair of strappy heels.
Gavras, on the other hand, stayed traditional in a black suit, pristine white shirt, and black tie.
The couple was spotted smiling and holding hands together at the star-studded showing of “Omar La Fraise (The King Of Algiers)” and seemed to be having a good time.
After the two left a party in London together in February, Lipa and Gavras were initially connected, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Later that month, during Paris Fashion Week, the couple could be seen holding hands.
After her breakup with Anwar Hadid, reports stated that the two had been “quietly getting to know each other for months” in March.
“Dua and Romain have been quietly getting to know each other for several months,” As per a source report
They added, “They have been enjoying spending time together. The pair met each other’s close circles over the festive period and have lots in common.”
The insider further said, “Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands her industry. She feels Romain totally gets it. They’re both really creative people”.
Before dating Gavras, Lipa spent 2019–January 2021 dating the brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid.
When Lipa was repeatedly seen out and about in New York City with comedian Trevor Noah in September 2022, there were rumours that the two were dating.
In spite of rumours, her representatives at the time told Page Six that they were merely friends.
