Actor Jake Gyllenhaal showed off his skills in music at the Kelly Clarkson Show. He appeared on Clarkson’s famous show on Friday (April 21). There he played Sing That Name That Tunes with the singing superstar Kelly Clarkson. Audiences expected Kelly would win, but it was Jake who stole the show.
The Rules of the Game were hosted by Matt Iseman. The rules were simple- when the band of the show begins playing the tune, they have to recognize that and step up off the platform, and sing along. Whoever can recognize and do it fast will win a point.
At first, the actor was hesitating a lot about doing that. He said, “I just want to apologize to the left side of the audience before we begin.” He said to the audience who was on his side in the show.
Matt Iseman even warned Kelly, and was so right at the end. He said, “I have a feeling he’s slow playing you.”
Jake surprised everyone as he won all rounds. He delivered performances of Billy Ray Cyrus’ “ I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” and “Achy Breaky Heart”. He sang those songs with completely Southern and Irish accents.
Once he won the game against Kelly Clarkson Gyllenhaal joked, “Who knew it could be this easy?” Well, Kelly Clarkson recently made a buzz when she sang the song ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ by Van Morrison in an episode of her show. Her fans praised her song so naturally. Her own touch gave a rejuvenated life to the 1966 chartbuster track.
Clarkson will turn 41 this Monday (April 24). So, Global Music Times wishes her a very Happy Birthday in advance.
