The 27-year-old K-pop diva, Jennie personally apologised to fans in a post on Tuesday, June 13 on Instagram Stories, for abandoning the stage during a concert over the weekend in Melbourne and leaving bandmates Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa to finish the performance without her. She wrote, “Dear Melbourne Blinks.” I apologise for not being able to complete the show on Sunday.”

Jennie was singing “Lovesick Girls” with her bandmates at the Rod Laver Arena in Australia on Sunday, June 11, working her way through the group’s distinctive four-part choreography. She began to dance, but then abruptly stopped and went off the platform, clearly exhausted.

She said, “Your understanding and support means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who came to our Melbourne show. Love you guys.” She added more, “I’m doing my best to recover [at the moment]… “I’m so sorry i wasn’t able to finish the show on Sunday.”

Jennie had been feeling under the weather all day, the remaining three revealed to the audience. YG Entertainment afterwards issued a statement on Weverse stating that she had been unable to continue performing “due to her deteriorating condition.”

The statement added, “JENNIE expressed her strong determination to carry on with the performance until the end.” However, we took action right away to make sure she gets enough rest and stability after receiving local medical advice.

Jennie has just a few days to build her strength back up to performance level if she wants to make an appearance at BLACKPINK’s upcoming concert. Two performances by the performers are slated for Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
